Black Friday in Denver

What are your plans for the biggest shopping day of the year? In 2013, Black Friday falls on November 29. If you live in the Denver area, then Fun City would like to invite you to spend the day with us, taking advantage of our drink specials and our 10 for $10 deal. You'll have unlimited access to all of our core attractions all day for only $10! That means you can play laser tag, race go-karts, compete with friends in a round of miniature golf, try out the rock wall, and challenge yourself in the laser maze. So, when you are finished with your early morning shopping, head over to Littleton for fun and excitement!

Do you know the history of Black Friday? It was a term that was originally coined in the 1960s and was used to signify the start of the Christmas shopping season. The term "black" was issued because it marked the time of the year when businesses moved out of the "red" and into the "black," meaning they were starting to generate a profit.

Today, Black Friday is all about shopping discounts and deals. Stores open early, some at midnight, offering costumers amazing deals on items ranging from toys to electronics to home furnishings. Stores often promote their discounts weeks or even a month in advance, while others wait until the last minute to entice shoppers with the best deals.

Retailers are not the only ones getting in on all the fun. Restaurants and other establishments like Fun City also celebrate the unofficial holiday by offering a place for consumers to wind down and have fun after a long day of shopping.
