Are you looking for Veteran's Day freebies in the Denver area? You've arrived at the right place. For the first time, Fun City Family Entertainment in Littleton is offering a Veteran's Day deal to patrons. All veterans or active duty military personnel who arrive in uniform on November 11 will receive a free entree and drink up to $15. Alcoholic beverages are not included. Veterans and active duty military not in uniform are entitled to a 50 percent discount on their meal when they present a valid military ID.

Veteran's Day is celebrated every year on November 11. It was originally an official U.S. holiday called Armistice Day, celebrating the end of World War I and those who fought in the war. However, on June 1, 1954, it was renamed Veteran's Day to honor those Americans who fought in all wars.

Veteran's Day is an official holiday. When it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it is observed on the following Monday by the federal government.
