Craft Fairs in Denver

If you are a fan of craft fairs and are looking for something fun to do the weekend after Labor Day, then look no further than Fun City in Littleton. On Saturday, September 7, 2013, Fun City will be hosting a craft fair from 12pm until 5pm. The craft fair will be held inside Fun City in the Games and Attractions area downstairs. Vendors interested in participating will be charged $50 for a spot. Tables and chairs will be provided. Things to Do in Denver with Kids - Promotions

Additionally, the photos can be entered into our July Instagram Contest, which lasts through July 31. In the contest, the photo with the most "likes" by midnight on July 31 wins a free Summer Pass.

August 2 - The person with the best dance moves wins! We will be playing some fun tuneage, and you get to show off your moves for a chance to win a free night of Crazy Cosmic Bowling.

August 3 - The person who bowls the most spares on the night WINS!

August 9 - The person wearing the most creative "hat" wins.

August 10 - The person wearing the most creative pair of "sunglasses" wins.

August 16 - In honor of "National Tell a Joke Day," the person who tells the best joke wins!

August 17 - In honor of "National Thrift Shop Day," the best thrifty outfit wins.

August 23 - The person with the best impression of a Star Wars' character wins.

August 24 - The lane with the most strikes gets to put their name in a bowl. We will then draw a name, and that person will win.

August 30 - In honor of "Frankenstein Day," the best Frankenstein costume wins!

National Lasagna Day in Denver

Calling all lasagna lovers - July 29th is National Lasagna Day! Fun City is celebrating by providing you with all the information on where to score freebies and discounts on lasagna throughout the Denver area. Here are some offers coming your way this July 29, 2013:

1) Participating Maggiano's locations are celebrating National Lasagna Day in Denver by offering a FREE Classic Pasta dish with the purchase of a Classic Pasta dish. This includes Mom's Lasagna.
2) Romano's Macaroni Grill is celebrating National Lasagna Day by offering a buy one, get one free deal as well. The offer is available Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, July 29, 2013. In order to get the deal, you must go to the restaurant's Facebook page and follow the instructions.

National Parent's Day in Denver

Although the origins of National Parent's Day are unknown, it was likely created by chocolate confectioners. President Bill Clinton pronounced National Parent's Day as a holiday in 1994, designating the fourth Sunday in July as the time to celebrate. In 2013, Sunday, July 28, is National Parent's Day. It is a time for children all over to celebrate their parents!

Fun City is celebrating National Parent's Day by offering free bowling for parents when they bring in their children to bowl. Now that's a deal!

After celebrating National Parent's Day at Fun City, there are other activities families can do together as well. This includes taking a walk or dining together. The day is intended to honor parents and their important role in a child's development.

Aunt and Uncle Day in Denver

Calling all you aunts and uncles out there! Friday, July 26, 2013, is Aunt and Uncle Day! That's right, there is a special day just for aunts and uncles, and Fun City is celebrating! All aunts and uncles bowl free at Fun City on July 26 when they bring in their niece or nephew to bowl.

Although the actual origins of Aunt and Uncle Day are unknown, the way to celebrate isn't! July 26 is the time to honor aunts and uncles everywhere with a quick 'hello!' and 'thinking of you!' What better way to celebrate the day than to hang out or call your aunt or uncle?

Events in Denver - Denver Bowling Leagues

Fun City is rocketing into September with four different bowling leagues -- a Youth League, a Senior League, an Adult/Mixed League and a Family League. If you love bowling and are looking for something to do this Fall, then look no further than Fun City! League information is as follows:

Senior Leagues - This league is open to anyone 55 and over and takes place on Wednesdays at 12:30pm. The league starts on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, and goes through Wednesday, October 23, 2013. The league is composed of teams of four people, and costs $8 per person, per week. Included in the league are 3 free practice games each week and 3 actual games of bowling (with shoes).

Youth Leagues - This league takes place on Saturdays at 10am, and begins on Saturday, September 7, 2013, and goes through Saturday, October 26, 2013. The league costs $75 for all 8 weeks, and payment must be received on the day the league begins. The league includes 2 games of bowling with shoe rental, as well as weekly coupons and an end-of-the-league Pizza Party and Trophy administration.

Adult/Mixed Leagues - This league take place on Tuesdays at 7pm and consists of teams of 4 people. The league starts up on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, and lasts through Tuesday, October 29, 2013. The cost is $12 per person, per week and includes a $4 prize fund. The league includes 3 free practice games each week and 3 games of actual bowling with shoe rental.

Family Leagues - This league takes place on Fridays at 6pm and is composed of teams of 4 people. The start date for this league is Friday, September 6, 2013, and the end date is Friday, October 25, 2013. The cost is $12 per person, per week and includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a pitcher of soda.

Denver Instagram Contest - Enter for a Chance to Win a FREE Summer Pass!

Fun City is hosting an Instagram Contest through July 31 at midnight, and we want you to participate!!! National Ice Cream Day Freebies in Denver

Although Fun City does not dish out ice cream, we sure do enjoy the cold treat. Every July is National Ice Cream Month, so why not enjoy some delicious ice cream before you head over to Fun City this month? In addition to National Ice Cream Month, the third Sunday in July is National Ice Cream Day each year. Both holidays were established by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.

This year, National Ice Cream Day falls on Sunday, July 21, and the city of Denver is celebrating! Here are some places to sample free or discounted ice cream on July 21. When you're finished, why not head over to Fun City for some miniature golf, laser tag and bowling?

1) The EDGE Restaurant and Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel in Denver is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a Sundae Bar.
